Known on his stage name Kaayi for his loved tracks, Vital Kayitare at a young age couldn't tell believe he will be inspired by music to the level of making it a career.
When he joined secondary studies at APACE Kabusunzu in the southern province and later completed his high school in Gabiro high school in 2017, his love of music started to grow.
It started slowly and grew until he found himself miming songs, and later at the end of his high school years, Kayitare discovered that he could do music as a career where, where he released his first song in October 2020.
Kayitare grew up in the Nyagatare district where a number of students are entirely engaged in cattle keeping and agriculture as their focal occupation but for him, he decided to think out of the box.

One of the motivations for doing music as a career was a friend of his who had succeeded in music and when he released his first song and got positive feedback, he was inspired to do the same.
“When I also released my first song ‘moonlight’ it had positive feedback from my music fans and this highly motivated me in doing more songs and have so far I have released three songs.”
His parents did not immediately correspond positively to him, however, on concern that he will mismanage his growing talent at a young age.
“My family wasn't feeling good about my new move when I started the career of music because they had negative ideology towards the music industry. They are always having mindsets of music equal to drugs," Kayitare said
Kayitare looks forward to inspire all the young generation to do their passions as careers.
“Go by your dreams and keep being who you are not diverting or changing,” he added
Just like any other start-up musician, Kayitare also is challenged every day despite the fact he always overcomes.
“I face a lot of challenges as an upcoming artist of course including discouragements from different people not forgetting having little money to promote my music, lack of connection with some of the important career personnel but I always to find the solutions,” he says.
Kayitare has so far recorded three tracks with their videos out namely moonlight, Iriza, and crush which are all available on its social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
