Afro-pop singer Platini Nemeye is set to perform at UR Gikondo Campus this coming Saturday in a concert organized by the Varsity students.
The concert was organized by University’s Career Hub Entertainment and will be attended by both students and non-students.
“The aim of the concert is to entertain students and to promote their career through a talent show and ensure sustainability as well as development programs, looking forward to tailoring it to a broader and more specific audience according to organizers.
Alain Bertini, the organizer of the event said Platini has a wide audience of University students a factor that prompted him to perform at Campus. The event will be graced by the dance crews, professional Dj's and upcoming artists.
MC Abou Wiz and Beikon Watola will emcee the event alongside DJ lion and DJ Vanny that will be mixing music. The entrance fee will be costing Rwf3000 for students and Rwf5000 for non-students.
Since Platini split with his childhood friend Mujyanama alias T.M.C in 2019 who left the country for his post-graduate studies at Pennsylvania University in the USA, fans have been concerned about his sustainability without T.M.C yet the solo singer has proved it wrong with more solo releases.
Both Platini and T.M.C are among the educated singers with Bachelor’s degrees.
There is also news alleging that Nemeye and Platini who seem to have separated might be pursuing post-graduate studies.
