Nishimwe Solange commonly known as Sol-Solange as a stage name has attracted the attention of music lovers all over the country through her singing covers.
At times where social gatherings are prohibited due to Covid-19, Solange still finds time to do what connects her with her fans through live shows that she does every Friday on her Instagram page.
Hundreds of the youth are following her on her weekly social media live shows.
She organizes and conducts live weekly shows via her Instagram page as one of the platforms used by young people. She also holds shows miming songs of other artists like Cecile Kyirebwa.
However, she told The Campus media that she plans to release her single song and album soon.
Her current cover song is Tarihinda by Cecile Kayirebwa. She believes covering songs is an opportunity that helps her to expose her talent to the public.
Nishimwe's cover songs are also praised by her fellows. "Nishimwe is really talented. When she is singing, you can tell that her voice is really interesting. I can only advise her to give time to her talent and develop it to another level." one of her fellows said.

She identifies her live performance at Rwanda Television as a great achievement that helped her to acquire more funs. She also quoted Alyn Sano as her music role model having had that Alyn Sano, one of the best female artists in Rwanda also started music like her.
Though the rising artist does only live shows and covers that have so far increased her music audience she also plans to record her songs soon.
"I’m planning to release my single songs and album which I’m currently working on. But I will keep doing live shows on my Instagram page and covering songs that have been loved by many," she says.
Juggling art, music, and studies
She is now in her 3rd year of studies and combines both studies and music at ago.
She says juggling music and studies do not affect her studies Nishimwe says that she does music well and studies well too without any problem.
"For me nothing is impossible and when you love something, every day you seek time to do that. So I always find my time and practice my singing and it is not that difficult when you really know what you want," She adds.
On top of her singing talent, she finds poetry as a great component of her artistry. She therefore also does poetry too.
"There is no much difference between poetry and music because they both mean art. To write a great song always requires good lyrics which usually slant like a poem," she says.
Sol Solange completed her high school studies at GSOB (Indatwa N'inkesha School) back in 2018 and later joined the nursing faculty at Mount Kenya University Rwanda in 2019.
